I believe the rest of the game went by without any gems from Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum. This was nothing short of a disaster. I have no doubt the next Sunday night game I watch will be filled with ridiculous comments and observations and I will be nowhere near a computer at the time. Oh well. At the very least I can give you a way to spice up the next Sunday night game you watch. Yep, it's time to explain the rules of the Sunday Night Baseball Drinking Game.
The Sunday Night Baseball Drinking game is pretty simple. Initially conceived about a month or so ago during a Mets/Yankees Sunday night game, the main rule of the game is to drink whenever Joe Morgan or Jon Miller say something dumb. Clearly, this is a recipe for disaster as is, however, there is one more twist to the game. Early on in the players should choose a topic that they expect Morgan and Miller to harp on throughout the broadcast. An example of this would be the overturning of Carlos Delgado's "homerun" during the aforementioned Mets/Yankees game. If Morgan and Miller manage to go an entire inning (both the top and bottom) without mentioning the selected topic, players must take a shot, preferably of whiskey. As I watched tonight's game alone for the most part I did not partake this evening. Plenty of games remain on the schedule to compensate though.
